A long time ago, a couple of mates dreamt of leaving school and never returning, buying motorbikes and never going on a bus ever again and getting a band together. Our heroes wore leather jackets, rode motorbikes and some played rock & roll. The greatest hero of all took no crap from anyone and wore wings on his bike helmet – his name is OGRI!! We are grateful to Paul Sample the creator of OGRI for giving us an attitude of mind, a healthy disrepect of Volvo drivers (which has kept both of us alive despite the fact that we didn’t legislate for them using Capri’s and tractors as well) and above all a liking for shapely girls in stockings and suspenders. We’re also grateful to Paul for kindly allowing us to use OGRI’s name and Paul’s excellent artwork as we aim to honour OGRI and head for world musical domination by conquering just one pub at a time. But most of all we want to enjoy the ride – just like OGRI! Oh I nearly forgot, one of those kids is our Nige and nearly 4 decades later he’s going to get the last of these ambitions properly fulfilled before some bastard in authority has the timerity to present us with bloody free bus passes – the irony isn’t lost on us.
